Sugar
Sugar – an indispensable commodity without which any Indian festive occasion is
incomplete. It is produced in about 120 countries out of which India stands second.
The sugar production in 2006-07 was approx 28.7 million tonnes which is expected
to increase to approx 33 million tonnes in the next sugar year, making it the largest
sugar producer in the world. NCDEX is one of the few Exchanges worldwide running
a successful futures contract in sugar. Extending the same expertise further NCDEX
is pleased to announce NCDEX Spot Exchange ( a wholly owned subsidiary) in Sugar.

The Exchange plans to offer a single seller multiple buyer approach wherein a number
of buyers would be able to bid for the offered price, quality and quantity by the
sugar mills/sellers. There are various formats available for trading in Sugar They

- Sale by the quality specification -from specified location
